The TNSSAR Board of Governors (BoG) meeting has been called and NOTICE is hereby given with the following information related to business that will be conducted at this meeting:

PLACE: VFW Post 6496, 285 Airways Blvd, Jackson, TN 38301

Just tell them you are with the Sons of the American Revolution.
Remember, if you are a Chapter President, you can appoint another officer in your chapter to officially represent you at the Bog. That appointment must be made in writing, email, three (3) days prior to the BoG. It must be sent to the President and the Recording Secretary.
BoG/Quarterly Reports: All members of the BoG are required to file quarterly reports (or BoG Reports) for their areas. This means all Elected Officers, Regional Directors, Chapter Presidents and Committee Chairmen. Quarterly Reports are due by the end of the day on JANUARY 20, 2025. We have moved to the online form and here are the links for the various reports:

All Members of the BoG are required to file a quarterly report and we have worked to make the online filing as smooth as possible, and to include relevant information. If you are a Regional Director, the report should reflect what you are doing to work with your chapters. Committee Chairs should post the deadlines of any contest or program of their committee, as well as any awards, prizes, or budget requests. The information on the Chapter reports goes toward helping us get all of the chapters Americanism reports in this year. BoG reports should reflect what activities you participated in, what programs you were a part of, what presentations you made or helped with, and any occasion that you teamed with another officer, region, chapter, committee, etc. These can be as detailed as you want them to be.

VOTE will be taken on the updated TNSSAR Color Guard Manual. This was distributed after the October BoG. Final copy will be sent out separately.
VOTE will be taken on the new MAJ David Wilson Chapter. Notice was given at the October BoG.
VOTE will be taken on the Vice President position. After the October BoG, I appointed Ben Stonecypher as Vice President. It is required that a vote be taken at the following BoG.
RESOLUTIONS
RESOLUTION 01-25. Committee Chairman Responsibilities

Following the Board of Governors Meeting everyone is invited to lunch at the VFW which will be handled by the Ladies Auxiliary. Tacos and dessert, $10.
Following the lunch everyone is invited to attend and participate in a Patriot Grave Marking & Wreath Laying Ceremony at the Houston Cemetery, Houston Cemetery Road, Guys, TN 37409. Take Highway 45 South from Jackson TN for 45 miles. At Eastview, turn Right on Highway 57 go 1 mile. Turn left onto Houston Cemetery Road. The cemetery is 1.3 miles on the left side of the road.
Color Guard meets at 2:00pm, ceremony at 2:30pm. Click the link below to RSVP for the ceremony and inform the coordinators of the event if you would like to serve in a role capacity:
